Today, nine in 10 people agree that healthcare should be free of charge, more than four in five agree that care should be available to everyone, and that the NHS makes them most proud to be British
It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate the achievements of one of the nation’s most loved institutions, to appreciate the vital role the service plays in our lives, and to recognise and thank the extraordinary NHS staff – the everyday heroes – who are there to guide, support and care for us, day in, day out

There are a wide range of ways for you to get involved with the NHS’s 75th birthday celebrations, from attending events in your local area through to supporting the work of the NHS, for instance by giving blood or joining the NHS Organ Donor Register.
