I qualified as an adult nurse in 2023 at Leeds Beckett University. Prior to becoming a nurse I trained as a healthcare asistant at Leeds City College/ Alwoodley Medical Centre in 2017, then I left in 2020 to begin my nurse training. Upon my completion of my degree, I came back to Alwoodley Medical Centre to work as a practice nurse. This year, I will undergo additional training in respiratory and cervical smear taking. I have a special interest in woundcare.

When I qualified I started my career in trauma, I then rotated around various surgical wards such as orthopaedics. I moved over to practice nursing in 2021.
My special interests are travel vaccinations, respiratory long term conditions, wound care. I enjoy all other responsibilities of my role

I completed my State Registered Nurse training at North Manchester General Hospital in 1982.

Initially I worked as a Staff Nurse on the acute surgical wards covering a variety of specialities.

I became a Practice Nurse in 2002 and have special interests in Respiratory conditions, Diabetes and wound care as well as enjoying all my other Practice Nurse responsibilities.

I qualified as a nurse in 2003. Initially, I worked across all 3 of the main hospital sites -Seacroft/LGI/SJUH , where I developed my general nursing skills. In 2005 I moved into the community, working with the East Leeds District Nursing Team, and then in 2009 I moved in to Practice Nursing. I have continued to develop my skills, specifically relating to those needed within the Primary Health Care setting. I undertake all nursing clinic room duties, and have also completed my training in the specialist nursing areas of Diabetes, Respiratory Disease Management, and Cardiovascular Disease Management.

I qualified as a registered nurse in 2024 at Huddersfield university.

I spent 10 years working in the accident and emergency department in Dewsbury hospital followed by 7 years as an emergency nurse practitioner in minor injuries at Leeds General Infirmary.

I joined Alwoodley medical centre as a practise nurse in 2022. Training in all treatment duties.

I graduated from Leeds College of Health in 1993. I spent 17 years working in critical care before I changed to primary care.  I have been a practice nurse for 12 years and joined this practice as Lead Nurse in 2019. I am an independent prescriber and have interests in all long-term conditions.
